The Best Circular Saw Guide Rail System

Circular Saw Guide Rail

If you’re using a circular saw and you need to make some precision cuts on your project, then without a doubt you need a circular saw guide rail. With an accurate guide rail you’ll be able to make your cut without measuring and marking out each cut. All you have to do is just lock the saw rail at the cut width you need, and then the job is done. Well, at least the beginning.

Work smarter not harder…. Make precise cuts every time. Her are a couple of the best circular guides we reviewed.

Makita 194368-5 55-Inch Guide Rail

The guide works perfectly in a couple of situations. If you’re like myself, you want a track takes all the guess work out of accounting for your cut width. There is a splinter guard which prevents tearout and even without clamps this circular saw rail guide will sit fairly still on your workpiece due to the strips on the bottom of which provide traction and keeps the rail stable. I used this with the cordless Makita track saw without any issues. Because it’s a Makita, I could just literally lay this track over exactly what you want to keep and make the cut. There is a slot for the Makita track saw to “clip-in” so the saw doesn’t tip over during bevel cuts.

Bora WTX Clamp Edge 4 Pc. Set, 50” + 24” Clamps + 50” Extension + Saw Plate

The Bora WTX Clamp Edge 4 Pc. Circular Saw Guide far exceeded my expectations. There are larger tracks with the extension that seem to move easily when clamping down the track, but be careful because it’s a very finicky tool to set up at times. I love the fact that I could also set it up track so that I can make a cut at a known distance from the line which aligns the track. Then whenever I measure, all I have to do is just make the line for the track two inches inside where I want my cut. This is both sturdy and solid, and the Bora WTX Clamp Edge is a must have if you want accurate straight cuts. Cutting plywood with the Bora WTX is just plain easy.

Kreg Rip-Cut Circular Saw Guide

The Kreg Accu-Cut is great for making straight, accurate, splinter-free cuts in plywood and other sheet goods. The saw sled accepts almost any circular saw, which allows you to turn your ordinary saw into a precision cutting tool. Like any circular saw guide, you can turn an ordinary circular saw into a precision edge-guided cutting tool.

When using the Kreg, the instructions are clear and easy to follow with the exception on the last step. The strength of the plastic frame components is disappointing, but I like the fact that the circular saw guide works well on small jobs, which fits my use. At the end of the day, if you are someone who doesn’t have a full-size table saw, I’ve found that this is the best possible way to make long straight rips in plywood without any issues whatsoever.

What’s the Best Circular Saw Guide Rail

In my opinion, because of the ease of use, the large tracks, and the ability to make accurate cuts I think that the Bora WTX Clamp Edge is the best circular saw guide rail choice for you. This is the guide rail you should use when you are in a situation and you need a circular saw guide rail for those precision cuts to help you to complete your woodworking job.
